Subject and legal guardian (if one available) must sign an IRB approved informed consent
form.
Subject must meet DSM-IV criteria for the diagnosis being treated.
Female subjects must use a reliable method of contraception. They cannot be pregnant or
nursing, and must have a negative pregnancy test.
Subject cannot have an unstable medical illness. (e.g. they may not have an active
seizure disorder, active cancer, or history of multiple severe allergies to drugs similar
to those being tested).
Subject must not have taken any other investigational drug within 30 days.
In most cases, subjects may not meet DSM-IV criteria for current substance or alcohol
abuse or dependency. In the rare case that a particular program allow substance abuse the
patient must be or become involved in active treatment for it.
